Report: USP Expert Advisory Panel on Pharmacy Compounding Practices

Abstract:  The work of the United States Pharmacopeial Convention Expert Advisory Panel on Pharmacy Compounding Practices has far-reaching consequences for the practice of pharmacy in the development of standards for compounded medications and the manner of their preparation. This article discusses the panel and the monograph development process and summarizes activities to date.
