Abstract:  The author, the Lloyd Scholar at the Lloyd Library in Cincinnati, OH, takes the reader on a journey through history regarding the treatment of menopausal symptoms. The following historical formulations are provided: Flush Powder, No. 2; Tincture of Black Cohosh; and Lydia Pinkham’s Vegetable Compound.
