Abstract: The authors provide a formula for Malathion 0.5% Lotion and provide information relating to method of preparation, use, packaging and storage and comments (discussion). They conclude that malathion is effective and safe for treating resistant head lice and that, with the increased resistance that is emerging, lindane and pyrethrin may not be sufficient for treatment.
