Abstract:  This article discusses the function of the adrenal gland and adrenal fatigue, to include the symptoms, possible causes, and treatment of adrenal fatigue. Compounding pharmacists can prepare formulations to assist the patient who is suffering from this syndrome. Included with this article are formulations which require a physician’s prescription, as well as nonprescription nutritional supplements.
